Yamaha's 2001 return to the big sport-touring class: a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 1298 cc four with shaft drive in an aluminium twin-spar frame. It combined a full touring fairing and electric screen with sporty handling, and replaced the ageing FJ1200.
